Saurabh is the Head of Commercial Dispute Resolution at Oracle Solicitors and based in our London office. Saurabh is a dual-qualified lawyer in England and India, with an LLM from the University of Warwick, where he focused on international law and financial regulations.

Saurabh is an experienced lawyer with over 15 years of expertise in resolving complex and high-profile commercial litigation and arbitration cases across various jurisdictions and sectors. He has successfully represented clients in disputes involving commodities, aviation, shareholder, and sanctions, among others.

Saurabh represents a diverse range of clients, from airlines and international trading companies to media houses and financial institutions. His responsibilities include advising on litigation strategy and risk mitigation, leading negotiations and mediations and representing clients in arbitration and court proceedings.

Before joining Oracle solicitors, Saurabh represented clients from Russia, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent. His experience includes:

• Advised clients on matters related to the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 including preparation of licenses for submission to OFSI.

• Successfully acted for an Indian trader in the UK Supreme Court in respect of an appeal against two GAFTA awards

• Acted for a Middle Eastern company to recover US$16.5 million withheld by a UK-based independent futures brokerage and clearing firm

• Represented a Dubai-based media house in an LCIA governed arbitration matter against an African state broadcasting corporation for the breach of a joint venture agreement

• Represented an airline in its appeal against HMRC’s decision to issue a demand notice in sum of GBP1.6 million for alleged non-compliance with the Inward Processing Regime while importing aircraft engines and spare parts into the UK for repairs.

Saurabh is fluent in English, and Hindi and speaks Punjabi.
