What is Extradition Law?
Extradition Law covers the transfer of a person who has been accused of criminal offences in a country outside the UK to that country to stand trial or serve a sentence already imposed. Extradition proceedings can be difficult and distressing, often impacting severely on those affected.
This is one of the most complex and fast-changing areas of Criminal Law, and it’s one in which our expert solicitors specialise in. Extradition isn’t a formality for us, we’ll use all our resources and legal skills to challenge any European Arrest Warrant.
We will always fight for the best possible outcome whatever the circumstances and be at your side throughout.
The Extradition Act
The Extradition Act (2003) came into force on the 1st January 2004 and covers all import (from the UK) and export (to the UK) requests submitted or received from this date forward.
